Press Freedom and Media Plurality

Press Freedom and Media Plurality

Overview

Press Freedom and Media Plurality are critical for stable democratic norms to take hold in society. Press Freedom and Media Plurality ensure governments and other powerful bodies and entities are held to account, while also enabling the free flow of information for informed public debate.

Press Freedom and Media Plurality programs address censorship (in many forms), support the work of journalists, support editorial independence, promote diverse perspectives, highlight violence and intimidation and support journalists to conduct their work safely.

The Humanitarian Impact Institute is your research, monitoring, evaluation and learning partner for press freedom media plurality programs.
