HII’s strategy services prioritise the humanitarian impact of our clients services on communities, while also advancing organisational strategic realities. Our approach recognises that structure and strategy are only one part of what makes an organisation more impactful.

HII’s proprietary strategy models are applicable at movement/federation level, organisational HQ, regional level, country level or program level. We will help your organisation to achieve more impact through more effective execution; through innovation; increasing accountability and performance; and/or through transformation.

Project Examples

A strategic review of how MSF as a movement is operating with a unique governance structure and organisational setup in Afghanistan. The project analysed whether the unique setup should continue and its wider value and opportunities for the MSF movement. The report has been published by MSF.  

A three month long deep-dive strategy development process designed to help ACBAR and its 200+ members position themselves in post-Taliban Afghanistan. Key to the strategy was to develop methods for managing increasing DFA corruption, obstruction and interference.
