Food Security in Emergencies

Food Security in Emergencies

Overview

The Humanitarian Impact Institute works with implementers working on comprehensive nutrition and livelihoods programs for food security in emergencies. This includes food distribution, cash programming, school feeding programs, CMAM, livelihood and agricultural support for resilience building and re-establishment of markets, training and education.

We conduct research for and then assess community-based programs and government led initiatives and conduct either performance or impact assessments of short-term, medium-term or long-term food security in emergency programs.

The Humanitarian Impact Institute works with partners to assess the impact of these food security in emergencies programs to assess impact, programmatic accessibility, gender and disability adaptations and that they are driven by community need while being CHS aligned.
