Humanitarian AI Workforce Transformation
Humanitarian AI Workforce Transformation
Overview
Every NGO, INGO, charity and UN agency needs to proactively develop a Humanitarian AI Workforce Transformation Strategy.
Artificial Intelligence is the single biggest change coming to the humanitarian and development sector since the industry was professionalised.
Organisations that plan for and embrace AI now will thrive in the next five years. AI will enable NGOs, INGOs, Charities and UN Agencies to achieve a lot more with a lot less. It will also democratise and further decolonise the humanitarian and development industry as capacity building activities shift from delivery by INGOs to delivery AI.
The first step in preparing for AI is to develop a Humanitarian AI Workforce Transformation Strategy. This should be a 2-4 year roadmap of how your NGO, INGO, charity and UN agency will transform its workforce for the AI age.
Skilled workforce areas such as research, advocacy, DRR, risk management, threat analysis, human rights, mental health support, logistics, HR, accounting and program design and project management will be impacted – the support available to these areas will enable significantly higher levels of efficiency and impact from fewer staff.
Your Humanitarian AI Workforce Transformation Strategy will include identifying the areas of highest impact, an upskilling plan, redefined roles and responsibilities, ethical issues and the change management process to go with the strategy.
The AI Workforce Transformation Strategy needs to be aligned with a corresponding AI Technology Roadmap and then integrated into the NGO/INGO/Charity/UN Agency impact strategy.
The Humanitarian Impact Institute will help your organisation prepare for the seismic transformation that is already happening. We will help you prepare your Humanitarian Artificial Intelligence Strategy including your AI Workforce Transformation & Humanitarian AI Technology Transformation.
