Countering Mis/Dis-Information

Countering Mis/Dis-Information

Overview

Mis-information and Dis-information are leading causes of most conflicts, social exclusion, radicalism and breaks in societal contracts. The proliferation of social media channels and mediums and these platforms incentivisation of engagement has made Countering Mis/Dis-Information more important than ever.

Countering Mis/Dis-Information fosters informed and resilience societies that are more cohesive, less polarised and more plural.

The Humanitarian Impact Institute can support effective countering of mis/dis-information through research to support effective program design, the development of effective monitoring frameworks, learning reviews and external evaluations.
