Humanitarian Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare

Humanitarian Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare

Overview

The Humanitarian Impact Institute works with implementers to assess the impact of humanitarian maternal and neonatal healthcare programs – either standalone programs or those incorporated into formal or informal healthcare systems.

Our work covers:

  • Antenatal care (ANC) including community-based services, nutritional support, education, counselling and healthcare settings.
  • Birthing including access to skilled birth attendants, health facility births and emergency obstetric care.
  • Postnatal and neonatal care including feeding support, health screening and care, communtiy based monitoring and support services and family planning.
  • Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Prevention including healthcare education and interventions to prevent complications, infections and other complications.

The Humanitarian Impact Institute helps assess programmatic accessibility, gender and disability adaptations and that they are driven by community need while being CHS aligned.
