Early Recovery
Early Recovery
Overview
Early Recovery programs are typically delivered in post-conflict zones and are a combination of interventions to stabilise and rebuild communities in the immediate aftermath of conflict.
Early Recovery programs serve as a bridge between humanitarian relief and long-term development, addressing urgent needs while laying the foundation for sustainable recovery. These programs focus on restoring basic services, livelihoods, governance, and social cohesion in areas affected by conflict. In our experience, they also serve as an opportunity to re-establish government-led services including the rule of law, thereby enabling the economic stability necessary for development and reconstruction.
The Humanitarian Impact Institute can develop community-led and participatory monitoring frameworks, conduct baseline studies and rapid needs assessments as well as conduct performance evaluations of Early Recovery programs.
