Graduated Poverty Programs

Graduated Poverty Programs

Overview

The Humanitarian Impact Institute supports implementers to conduct feasibility studies and evaluations of Graduated Poverty Programs globally.

This generally means programs designed to support people living in extreme poverty to graduate to more resilience stages of familial, personal and community development. We can assess need, suitability, modality and then effectivess and impact.

Not all families and communities are well suited to graduated poverty programs. However initial support, livelihood development, skills training, access to social services, asset transfers/investments and linkages to related community-level infrastructure development can all be assessed by the Humanitarian Impact Institute as a comprehensive program assessment.

The Humanitarian Impact Institute is also aligned to the Core Humanitarian Standard to ensure that services are inclusive, gender, age and disability adapted, community driven and accountable.
