Modern Slavery and Exploitation

Overview

Modern Slavery and Exploitation takes many forms including forced labour & exploitative labour; restriction of freedoms; debt bondage; child labour; forced marriage; domestic servitude; commercial sexual exploitation; state imposed forced labour;  and human trafficking.

The Humanitarian Impact has extensive experience conducting primary source research and evaluations into the prevalence and impact of modern slavery, as well as the effectiveness of programs to prevent it and support survivors. This includes legislative programs, law enforcement and judiciary capacity building, behaviour change and education, survivor support and reintegration services and initiatives addressing root causes.

The Humanitarian Impact Institute can conduct baseline or primary source research to inform program design, effective monitoring frameworks and then conduct external evaluations of modern slavery projects.
