Energy Transition

Energy Transition

Overview

An enormous Energy Transition is occuring globally, including and especially in developing countries. This Energy Transition is the shift in reliance from fossil-fueled energy systems to cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.

This Energy Transition is different in every country and often varies within regions of each country – coal, oil and gas are luxuries not used for most energy production in many countries, where timber-based energy is still predominant.

Given the differences and diverse set of challenges faced, the Humanitarian Impact Institute can conduct primary source and meta analysis research to quantify energy needs and pinpoint transition barriers – as well as evaluate progress of programs.
